Good news and bad news…
Bad news is – marketing is brutal. Let’s just be honest. Whoever
said “it’s a jungle out there” really hit the nail on the head.
Don’t believe me?
Why do you believe most people don’t succeed in
the marketing industry? Forget the whole “most businesses fail
within the first 5 years” mantra you hear everywhere. Why do a
staggering percentage fail within the first few MONTHS?
The answer is simple and I’ll reveal it below.
That’s the bad news. Here’s the good news:
It doesn’t need to be brutal, because YOU aren’t a BRUTE. YOU can
be successful in ANY marketing program you choose as long as you
follow a few simple rules, many of which I’ve already shared with
you in previous emails. But here is a convenient recap:
1) Offer people something valuable – something that increases the
quality of their lives.
2) Offer it to a LOT of people.
3) Be a leader.
4) Care for others deeply.
You know, #4 above should actually be #1. And I really believe in
my heart that people do care about others in this huge world where
most folks seem to be blind.
But you also must take action – and those are the first 3 items
above – all action-oriented.
You see, the secret to success is simple. Note I did not say EASY,
I said SIMPLE. Don’t believe people who say success is easy. It
isn’t in most cases.
But that’s the good news. If success came easily
to you all the time, life would be incredibly dull, don’t you
think? The juice is in the CHALLENGE!
This can go the other way, though… you can have nothing but
struggle. That’s no fun, either.
So what is the point I’m making?
Most people fail in business because they aren’t aware of the above
4 rules AND… they don’t know HOW to put those rules into
consistent, effective action on a daily basis.
My system takes care of that for you. As long as you can plug in
and DO, the system I use WILL work for you, I guarantee it.
All you need to do is decide to take action and care deeply for
others.
Most folks who fail aren’t doing enough of either.
Simple.
Take action today. If you care about yourself and others, you owe
it to yourself to change your life right now:

Collectivization was a huge failure. Forgetting for a second its human costs (which were enormous), it has literally failed to deliver the goods. There were two very serious instances of famine in primary grain-producing regions (in 1933 and 1947). After Stalin's death, the Soviet leadership realized that the collectivized agriculture has failed to feed the country. But rather than reverse the collectivization-era policies, it was decided to start large-scale grain imports.
Also, consider post-WWII experiences of Russia and Poland. Poland, where agriculture was never collectivized, fared much better nutrition-wise…
The patient needs to be told the truth as soon as they are in a position to understand fully. The anaesthetic may still be having an effect for the next 24 hours (we certainly wouldn't let someone drive in that time frame), and the next day will give more chance to bring the nearest and dearest along for support. So i would say a brief mention of the outlook as soon as the patient asks, and promise a full discussion for the next day.

They did a tour which i had the good fortune to see them on, newcastle city hall, and a signing session at the HMV store the following day, rick was still in bloody character at the HMV shop and still wearing the wig, i got a personal performance from him when i asked if the tour was going well, he launched into character (colin) and gave me a rendition of bohemian rhapsody with croaky voice, saying “listen” the tour is killing my voice. No there isn't. Unfortunately, most people buy papers to scare themselves stupid. If good news sold newspapers, they would all be full of good news.
Sadly when a headline is something good, most people will look at it, smile and think, ah good news for a change, and walk on by feeling a bit better, but they will not buy the newspaper.
If a headline screams SHOCK! HORROR! CRISIS! people stop and buy the newspaper to see how that might effect them personally.
It is sad, but true.
Earlier this summer, Sony closed another fiscal year of being in the red, but it’s starting the 2010/11 ledger with its quill dipped firmly in the black inkwell. For the quarter ending June 30, the Japanese megacorp clocked up ¥25.7 billion ($293 million) in pure, unadulterated profit off the back of a ¥67 billion operating income. When you compare that to the performance this time last year, a ¥37 billion loss, you have to agree that the Stringer purse-tightening program seems to have delivered the desired effect. The primary drivers for the current resurgence are pinpointed as the PlayStation 3 and Bravia lines (frankly, we consider the two utterly inseparable), and Sony’s feeling so buoyant about it all that it’s revising its projection for the coming year’s revenues upwards today. The good news is tempered, however, by the threat of a rising Yen, which has already claimed Nintendo’s profits as its first victim. PS3 and Bravia sales boost quarterly Sony profits above expectations…
