If you want to get your articles within the top 10 results on Google or other search engines, listen up, because these tips are POWERFUL for SEO.
1) Put the keywords your audience is looking for within the title of your article. For example, if you sell golf carts, then you could use “How to Find the Perfect Golf Cart” or “Golf Carts – Which Ones Are the Best?”
Google loves titles and headlines. It’s one of the first things their algorithms look at when they spider your website or article repositories like Ezinearticles. The spiders put huge emphasis on the title of your articles, so make sure you pick the keywords for it very carefully.
2) Put the keywords you used in the title in the first couple of sentences of your article. Let’s take the golf cart example again. You could write something like “Looking for the perfect golf cart? Read this article to see which golf carts you may want to look at.”
Google also loves the first part of your article. Consider that this part of the listing typically shows up in the “description” part of Google’s results (if you don’t put a special meta-description for the article). When you match up the title and the first few sentences of an article, Google judges your article to be an aesthetic (relevant) match for it’s users.
3) Make sure your article is about the title you are using. Again with the golf example (I don’t like golf, nor do I play it, I don’t know why I picked this… 
) – if you are writing about golf carts, don’t make your article about the best golf swing. This will mislead your readers and Google could penalize you.
4) Always, always, always use keywords if the option is available. You may be uploading your own articles to Wordpress or your own site, or you may be uploading them to some article directories that allow you to enter keywords within a submission field. MAKE SURE you include relevant keywords within these fields or the meta-keywords option. Google puts high priority on this function. Do not ignore this.
5) Most people don’t know this next tip - name your pictures and files with the keywords with whichyou want to optimize your articles. Example: if you have a picture of a golf cart, populate it’s “properties” in an HTML editing program with relevant keywords – golf, cart, best golf carts, etc. Google LOVES this.
It also has an aesthetic effect. Have you ever hovered over a picture and words appear over it? That’s what this effect does. It’s a bit more technical, so if you don’t know how to do this, learn how or have a webmaster do it for you.
