Just got word of an alliance between Microsoft and Yahoo. Here is part of the release I just received via email:
“Dear Advertiser,
Yahoo! and Microsoft have now received regulatory clearance to form a search alliance. This is a significant milestone and an exciting first step in our combined effort to help you reach even more customers with greater ease and efficiency.
What’s Ahead
There will be no immediate changes to your Yahoo! Search Marketing account. Both companies are committed to making this transition as seamless and beneficial to you as possible. Our aim is a high quality transition of advertisers and partners in at least the U.S. prior to the 2010 holiday season. However, we may wait until 2011 if we determine this will be more effective. Approximately three months in advance, we’ll begin providing you with detailed information about what to expect and how we will assist you.”
Uh oh… is Google in trouble? Two of their most potent rival forces now combined as one with their search platforms. Not to mention the common, rabid displeasure from marketers resulting from Google’s infamous Slap (see my other articles).
What does this mean for Google? What does it mean for everyone?
Nobody can say for sure, except to say that this WILL impact how business is done. Should the partnership be a success, there will be a newfound goldrush from marketers and non-marketers alike. The new Microsoft and Yahoo platform (Yah-soft?) could be raising it’s own behemoth hand to give Google a nice slap in it’s cyber face.
Poetic justice? Let’s see how it plays out…
As an aside, when something major like this happens, keep vigilante lookout for opportunity. New alliances typically mean cheaper advertising prices for a time.

I have the same problem right now. From what I saw on other questions (there are quite a few questions about this topic), Yahoo said it's a glitch that they're currently working on. Hopefully it should be gone in a few days. I've had this for a few weeks now and I've already done everything I can think of from turning off alerts to reinstalling messenger but nothing worked. It is annoying plus its embarrassing when I open my YM at school. I don't want people to think I'm a Yahoo personals addict lol. So I just use the messenger in Yahoo Mail when I'm in public. I really hope this can be fixed soon.

what i am guessing is:
1. they didnt want to make 2 separate parks
2. they both deal with the world, life, and culture, so it seemed best to put them together.

A Word .doc or .docx document, in fact, in any word processor document, contains not only the text you typed in, but all the information necessary to format that text into sentences, paragraphs, headers, footers, and everything else you want to make it look better than a simple text paragraph such as this one.
Trouble is, different word processors, even older versions of Word, do all that different ways. All those types, .doc, .docx, .rtf, .txt, are only the external distinction between the documents. The real differences are inside. If Word produced only .docx files, only other copies of Word could read them. To anybody with a different word processor that didn't know how to handle .docx documents, the documents would be sheer junk.

ok, yeah, i read through some comments and i saw what people found as issues, but i guess i’ll have to check it out. lol.. honestly, its seems A LOT more like Gothic 3(poor coding and all) then oblivion.
Both Italy and Japan were working within their own best interest. Neither bought into Hitler's Aryan race theories. In reality, all three were looking towards short=term economic objectives. Little favor or similarity existed between the three.
